Studio Fashion Photography (SFW201) teaches skills that are absolutely essential for any portrait photographer -ability to work and take portraits in a studio environment, since natural light is not always an option. When clean, shadow-less shots are required for advertisement purposes, studio is the only correct approach.

Today’s Internet sales are crucial for the retail survival, especially in the fashion industry.  Correct catalog shooting techniques are more important than ever, as buyers need to make their decision based only on the picture they see. Therefore, catalog shooting skills have become essential for any professional photographer as industry shifts more and more towards the Internet sales.

We will learn the essential lighting techniques and tools used in today’s catalog shoots. As all catalog shoots are shot against white seamless background, we will learn and practice the correct techniques of shooting in these conditions. We will also discuss the aspect of working with a model and the client (designer) to meet their needs. And, of course, this is a great opportunity to expand your fashion portfolio!
